Panda in Space

Panda Joe had had enough. After nearly drowning in the Panda Pie Race, and narrowly escaping being set on fire in the Pie in the Sky contest, he decided that it was time to show the world that he was not just an ordinary Panda, he was in fact a Pandaventor who could invent a spaceship from a pie and a lightbulb which would revolutionise space travel as we know it.
Using complex algorhythms and multifunctional diachromatic technology, not to mention a very good pie recipe, Panda Joe's spaceship proved itself by flying to a distant planet in the Pieorian System known as Pie-n-Cust-ard. However, his plan had been to take a photo and return to Earth a hero, but he had not calculated the fuel required too well and he ran out just as he was approaching the capital city of Crumble on the planet Pie-n-Cust-ard. He looked on with horror as the pie entered the planets gravitational pull and was dragged towards the bubble surrounding the space city. 'OMG' he yelled as his spaceship plummeted earthwards. Luckily for PJ though, he landed outside a restaurant, in more or less one piece, and they were more than willing to sell his scorched space pie to interested tourists (along with a healthy dollop of custard). While he couldn't get home, to revel in the glory of his invention, he nevertheless settled in well to the planet's culture and became famous for his pan galactic space pie!
